Museo Mariano Benlliure

Mariano Benlliure (1862-1947) was an artist of universal prestige, splendid representative of the Mediterranean sensibility and, undoubtedly, the referent of the Valencian sculpture. With his vast artistic production divided by Spain and Latin America was faithful notary of social life and political events of the second half of the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.

His relationship with Crevillent begins in 1944 on the occasion of religious works commissioned for the local Semana Santa (Holy Week), carving a total of nine works for this city.
